The Buying and Selling Process
It is important that you understand that buying or selling a
home is a process , not an event. There is a learning curve involved
and the more you learn about your financial options, about what
is available on the market, and how you react to the opportunities
that are available to you, the more comfortable you become with
the decisions that you are making.
Many of my clients refer to me as their " Real Estate
Coach ", because it is my job to help them through
the process of making decisions about their Real Estate needs
that make sense to them. From years of experience I know that
if I can help my clients get the process right, they will be
more comfortable with the homes that they purchase.
Buying a home is just too big of an investment to be nonchalant,
so most buyers buy homes by comparison, and they will rarely
buy the first one they visit. Usually they will shop a particular
neighborhood and home type, then they will compare prices against
comparative value and quickly throw out obviously overpriced
homes. If they particularly like a home that is overpriced, they
may make an offer at a lower price - closer to it's true value
- but history shows that usually they will just skip that one
and offer on a home that is already realistically valued.
A real estate agent can save the home seller much chagrin because
he has accurate knowledge of the prices that similar houses in
the neighborhood are selling for and which have been taken off
the market because of over pricing. It makes sense to work with
documented facts instead of guesswork. Who knows, you may even
be planning to sell your house for less than you should. Why
not give us a call and find out? We have the facts. |
